Muir Matheson offer regular offshore
maintenance and servicing. We recommend annual site visits to
monitor, check and maintain offshore weather instrumentation in order to meet statutory requirements.
Following a visit, reports are compiled by our engineer detailing all maintenance and calibration checks
carried out. This will also include recommendations and comments.
These reports comply with requirements by the authorities for installation operators to ensure the continued reliability and accuracy of onboard weather monitoring equipment.
The CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), HSE, and UKOOA require the accurate monitoring
of weather parameters at all offshore installations in the UKCS.
The majority of weather monitoring systems on the UKCS are in excess of ten years
old. It is therefore particularly important to ensure that accurate reliable weather data
continues be made available to helicopters.
