01/12/2006 - Muir Matheson Secures Heathrow & Aberdeen Contracts
Muir Matheson has completed deals, worth in the region of £250,000 each, with Heathrow and Aberdeen respectively to provide airport weather monitoring systems at both. more »

01/12/2006 - Guernsey Contract Success
Following the successful installation of the METCOM system at Guernsey Airport, Muir Matheson won the contract to upgrade the system. Senior Meteorological Officer at the airport, Tim Lillington, said: "Muir Matheson installed the original METCOM system in 1998. Given the high standard of their work, awarding the contract to upgrade the system was an easy decision."

The contract was worth over £80,000 and work was completed in November.

More success for Muir Matheson was announced in December 2005 following the completion of the Investors In People Standard.

2006 - Muir Matheson develops “WeatherNet” for Shell

2006 - Muir Matheson Bon Accord goes from strength to strength
Our volleyball team, Muir Matheson Bon Accord, continues to enjoy unprecedented success inspired by our very own Alan Stephen, a veteran of 22 years (No 10). The team finished a respectable 5 th in its first season in the top league, and boasts three national squad members! This season the aim is to push for the playoffs.

2006 - Tri Changing Gear – elite sponsorship for Muir Matheson
Tri Changing Gear is a specialist road cycling and triathlon sports team. From small beginnings, the team has blossomed into one of the most competitive in the country. Muir Matheson will sponsor the team for seasons 2007 and 2008 when they compete in the British Premier Cycling Series, which is televised on Eurosport, and features the country’s top riders.

2006 - Muir Matheson Pink Day 2006!

For some time Muir Matheson has been looking to develop relations with an oceanographic company to complement our meteorological operations. We have worked with Metocean Services International (MSI) over the past two years and established a very good working relationship and developed an understanding to work together on a number of projects. more »

2006 - METNET 3G system extends to Dutch sector
Following the highly successful implementation of our METNET 3G weather systems on Shell Exploration and Production in Europe installations in the northern, central and southern parts of the UK sector, Muir Matheson is now implementing our PACE weather system software on a further four Shell EPE installations in the Dutch sector, adding them to the METNET 3G web based system. more »

2005 - Staff Update's for 2005
Recent changes have focussed on strengthening the engineering team and providing additional support for staff and systems within the Company. A Team Leader structure has been created and all engineers now work within four groups – offshore projects, offshore operations, airports and software. Team Leaders assist the Operations Manager to plan the use of resources and assess and implement new ideas as well as ensuring that all engineers’ views are represented. more »

Muir Matheson is now into the second year of its five-year, multi-million pound METNET system contract with Shell UK Exploration and Production and has received an award for its achievements on the project.
