Q&A Session with Kathleen Boyd
When did you start work at Muir Matheson?
I started at Muir Matheson in 1997, so been here just over 7 years, although it feels like longer (in a good way of course) .... It is my first job since finishing college.
What types of positions have you held with the Company?
Well I have had a few. I started off as a Receptionist / Accounts Assistant, then I think I moved to be a Logistics Co-ordinator, then a Sales & Logistics Co-ordinator, and now I am a Sales & Operations Co-ordinator. I think that is them all...
What's the most interesting aspect of your job?
Interesting. Erm.. I'll have to think about that one (see point 6!).
Is it true your dog Skye gets to come to work with you everyday?
Yes I am very lucky, my Collie Dog Skye who is very well behaved has a summer house in the Muir Matheson grounds and a winter house under my desk - We have a very understanding boss!
Has your job taken you to any unusual destinations?
Well I've not travelled too far (yet). I have been to Edinburgh Airport and Balmoral Castle but I guess they are not very unusual. I was inside Balmoral Castle checking out the wind displays, so that was quite cool.
Any additional comments?
Back to the Interesting Part of my Job: Well I do enjoy most of my job, so it's hard to specify exactly one point that is interesting. You just never know what is going to happen in one day at Muir Matheson, so that is quite interesting. A bit of a mad house sometime, just like anywhere else I guess!
