Q & A Session with Chris Leiper

Q. When did you begin working for Muir Matheson & what projects have you been involved with so far?
I started at Muir Matheson back in January 2007, I have just moved into projects having worked for the past year in Operations, installing and maintaining equipment, predominately in the North Sea.
Q. You are now heavily involved in the Shell Nigeria ‘WeatherNet’ project, how have you found working on this so far?
Working on the Nigerian project has been both challenging and exciting. The project involves a wide variety of the products and services, the demand for weather monitoring systems is continually growing.
Q. What will be the next stage in the Nigeria Project?
The next stage of the project involves the installation of two Flow Station systems which will monitor water currents at locations in the Niger Delta. We will also be leading the Sea Eagle FPSO weather system back on line as it prepares to go back into production.
Q. What is the most interesting aspect of your job?
The most interesting aspect is seeing projects through from conception to installation. The operations in Nigeria are growing and it certainly is an interesting time to be involved.
