"Just a note to thank you for the professional manner in which this project was handled from start to completion, it was a real pleasure dealing with Muir Matheson and Lwandle. A special word of appreciation for Steve for all the hard work on the platform and for going out of his way to accommodate the changes that were required here and there. We look forward to a long relationship with you and your personnel."
- Bernard Diab, PetroSA (Pty) Ltd

"Yet another efficient, helpful and friendly member of your staff (I think you have a monopoly on such engineers in Scotland). A big thankyou not only to Kevin Chrystal but also Muir Matheson for again assisting us in complying with the CAA requirements."
- Helen O'Connor, EventDirect Aviation Services

"The engineer did an excellent job and knows the system well."
- W. Van Tonder, SBM Offshore Contrators

- Jim Davis, CNR International UK Ltd

“I would like to thank all involved in the project. The Muir Matheson engineers, deserve added thanks, for at short notice providing additional time to the installation process when this was required.”
- Kim O'Brien, Manager Air Traffic Services, Scatsta Airport

"On 18 October 2005, the responsibility for aviation met observations at Heathrow transferred from the UK Met Office to National Air Traffic Services using the Muir Matheson airport weather system ( SAMOS).  This equipment has been installed in a new Flight Briefing Unit on the 7 th floor of the Control Tower building. Many of the Air Traffic Services Assistants (ATSAs) were initially sceptical about SAMOS, but the training proved extremely successful and as the ATSAs gained confidence using the equipment, this scepticism evaporated.  They have now embraced it and some are even considering obtaining a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in weather observation, which is a tremendous result.  They have also commented that they had no real difficulties learning the SAMOS features and they find it easy to use.  The transition from the Met Office went extremely smoothly and we were complimented by the airlines on a seamless changeover.  It is a tribute to all the staff involved at Muir Matheson that this project has been so successful and I would like to personally thank Philip Goodall and the whole Muir Matheson team for their efforts."
- Martyn Jeffery, General Manager, National Air Traffic Services, London Heathrow

"…the information has been extremely accurate and highlighted errors in weather data … I believe that the success of this equipment will open up other avenues, even onshore, where…we are unable to get adequate meteorological information…"
- Bristow Helicopters

"I would like to thank you … for your professionalism and dedication … Hopefully, we can enjoy another project together in the future"
- Highlands & Islands Airports

"the 'SAMOS' system … was delivered on time and within budget. It has functioned satisfactorily with minimum maintenance and since going into operational service, the serviceability rate has been in excess of 99%."
